DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST

for Stonesoft's Documentation team

Stonesoft is an international provider of network security software and hardware. Our Stonesoft products help organizations keep their business-critical network services secure and accessible at all times in their often geographically dispersed and complex networks.
Stonesoft is seeking a Documentation Specialist to strengthen our team of documentation and usability professionals at Stonesoft's corporate headquarters in Helsinki (Lauttasaari). This is a full-time position.


Job Description

Stonesoft's documentation team designs and produces the technical documentation that is delivered as a part of our products. You will work in close cooperation with the product development teams and the technical services organization.


Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Writing, illustrating, and editing the end-user documentation for Stonesoft’s products.
  • Supporting our user interface designers in writing clear labels, controls, and user interface messages.
  • Participating in the development of the whole documentation set and the team’s tools and practices.


We Expect

  • University degree in English or equivalent qualifications if you are a native English speaker.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to learn complex technical concepts and explain them in clear terms.
  • Genuine interest in how you can help the users accomplish their work.


We Appreciate

 

  • Experience in authoring user assistance products (online help, printed manuals, etc.).
  • Formal education in technical communications, computer science, or education.
  • Practical experience in network administration.
  • Prior knowledge of technologies related to our products.
