The following tables outline the voluntary accessibility Section 508 response for Stonesoft’s StoneGate firewall/VPN and IPS technologies. This version of the Section 508 statement is applicable to StoneGate versions up to and including StoneGate 5.0.
Statement on firewall/VPN and IPS engine compatibility. As the StoneGate Management Client controls all functions of the solution, the firewall/VPN and IPS appliances and their software engines are covered through the statements below using the platform-independent GUI. The installation process of the engine is also covered, as the engine’s initial configuration can be performed through the Management Client, then saved onto a USB drive; when the appliance is booted with the USB drive installed, the engine will auto-configure itself and require no display technology or input device of any kind. At that point, all other firewall/VPN functions are controlled through the Management Client, which is covered in the statements that follow.
