IPv6

Built-in IPv6 access control, NAT, clustering and VPN

ipv6_logo Major operating systems and core networking components offer IPv6 support. For example, Windows Vista and Windows 7 uses IPv6 addresses by default, which may be a potential security threat without properly implemented access control and deep inspection. In addition, malicious traffic may be hidden inside IPv6 and IP-in-IP tunnels, which many security solutions still fail to protect.

StoneGate Firewall/VPN provides IPv6 support for:

  • Firewall access control
  • Network Address Translation (NAT)
  • IPv6 Clustering
  • Site-to-site VPN
  • IPv6 FTP protocol agent

To complement IPv6 security use StoneGate IPS that provides support for IPv6 deep inspection and tunneled traffic inspection.

StoneGate Firewall/VPN is already been used in multiple IPv6 production environments around the world. Stonesoft has also actively participated the IPv6 test flights and is aiming for full IPv6 support in a few years.
