It is easy to monitor whether critical servers, routers, switches, and security devices on are online and functional.
StoneGate Management Center is able to receive and display log events from third-party devices. SMC provides support for many different common event formats such as CEF, CLF and WELF. It is of course possible to manually configure the log parsing with SMC. Logging Profile editor comes with an integrated validation tool making it easy and fast to configure the logging patterns for third-party devices. StoneGate users can also share their logging profiles of different third-party devices on StoneBlog.
Besides status monitoring and log reception, SMC is capable of creating
statistics based on the third-party logs. All log data based reporting features are available for
third-party events making it possible to see trends and deviations from trends easily from large
amount of log data. It is also possible to make SNMP MIB (Management Information Base) queries to
retrieve counter statistics. This way you can monitor information such as CPU usage, memory usage,
disk space and interface statistics about the 3rd party device directly in StoneGate Management
Center.
