VMware Certified Virtual Appliance
Program
The VMware Certified Virtual Appliance Program enables developers of virtual appliances to market their solutions to customers and highlights those virtual appliances that are safe and ready-to-run in a production environment. By purchasing virtual appliances that have been certified by VMware, customers know they are obtaining a solution that is reliable, secure, and optimized for a virtualized environment.
Common Criteria Certification
StoneGate Firewall/VPN appliance family is currently under Common Criteria evaluation for
EAL4+ certification. See our evaluation entry under
UK Scheme.
Previous Common Criteria level EAL 4+ certification was done with StoneGate Firewall/VPN version 2.0.5. Common Criteria is an international certification scheme setting standards for IT product security.

FIPS
Certification
StoneGate Firewall/VPN appliance family is currently under
FIPS 140-2 testing during ongoing
Common Criteria evaluation.
Earlier FIPS 140-2 certification was received for StoneGate version 2.0.5. FIPS certification ensures cryptographic security of connections.

ICSA Labs Certified Firewall
StoneGate has received Firewall Certification from
ICSA Labs, a worldwide leader in setting security standards
for information security products.
ICSA Certification ensures
enterprise customers that StoneGate offers the highest level of protection for the points at which
corporate networks meet the Internet.
StoneGate Firewall has been tested and certified against the 4.0 criteria for modular firewalls.
ICSA Labs Certified Network IPS
StoneGate Intrusion
Prevention System has received the
ICSA Labs Network IPS Certification.
Choosing a vulnerability set is the result of intense and detailed research followed by comparisons against other sources including the SANS Top 20. ICSA Labs performs this vulnerability set research twice a year, each time updating the set. This helps ensure that the attacks used in ICSA Network IPS testing continuously target relevant vulnerabilities in enterprise-class software.ICSA Certification ensures network security professionals that StoneGate IPS has satisfied 100% of the most rigorous and relevant testing criteria requirements approved by the industry.
StoneGate IPS was evaluated against version 1.1 of the Network IPS Enterprise Certification Testing Criteria.
VPN
Consortium Certifications
Virtual Private Network Consortium, better known as VPNC, is the international trade association
for manufacturers in the VPN market.
VPN Consortium issues logos to products of member companies that have passed the interoperability and conformance tests it conducts. Interoperability logos indicate that a product interoperates with the other products in the test, and conformance logos indicate VPNC's belief that a product conforms to various parts of the IPsec standards.

Secured
StoneGate has been awarded "RSA Secured
RSA SecurID Ready"
certification, signaling its compatibility with RSA Security's authentication technology.
The RSA Secured certification informs organizations about StoneGate's compatibility with RSA Security's market-leading security products and technologies.
