Appliances
Appliance owners who have valid support contracts for that hardware are able to use the Hardware Replacement Service as specified in the Support Service Description.The end of sales date is the last day given appliance model is generally available for purchase. Stonesoft aims to maintain software support for each appliance model in new major software versions for two (2) years after the end of sales date. After that, the current major software version is fixed as the last major software version that supports the given appliance model and only maintenance versions for that major version are supported.
For reasons of technical compatibility, there may be exceptions to this general rule.
After five (5) years from the appliance end of sales date the appliance reaches end of life (EoL).
The tables below list the end of sales dates for appliances that are no longer available.
For older models, only the last day to renew one year maintenance is listed. The tables also provide information about the actual last major software version that supports the given appliance model.

End of Sales (EOS) / Last order date to renew one year maintenance also applies to the appropriate Single-Site appliances (SGS/ SGIS).
Software
The general policy for support in case of a software problem is that the previous major version is supported for six (6) months after the release of a newer major software version. The first two digits of the version number specify the major version and the third digit is a maintenance version number. For example version 4.3.2 is major version 4.3 and 2 is the maintenance version number.Major versions that are the last supported versions for some StoneGate appliance models may still receive support and critical or security fixes even after this six (6) month period.
